Twitter: Una gran herramienta

Aún uso Windows y no Linux.

  • Crea comunidad y genera proximidad.

  3. OK.... i still don´t like twitter, although the research you have done and the lengths to which you justify it are commendable...

but i still see it as too much of just a simple extension of existing services, and really lacking anything too new (its like they said, "hey! lets tie together SMS and blogging!"... i don´t think it deserves the amount of hype that it gets and apparently I´m not the only one who feels that way

and although, i really kind of enjoy the potential marketing practices that you list, I see two problems with the application of it...

first of all... they don´t market themselves as a business tool, and business may not perceive it as such... it seems more to be a "where I am and what I am up to" tool... i´ve heard some people call it voyueristic, and I for one am not a person who likes my immediacy being broadcast on the internet... and if i was, there are other services (like My Status on facebook) that I could use and also RSS to friends... in this sense, its popularity might have reached its peak because there are many people who feel the way I do... now that it seems to be past the early adopters, what happens next will make or break it..

secondly, twitter is already behind other mobile marketing services that already dominate the potential uses that your list postulates... through bluetooth, SMS, Wap Page landing, and even emerging technologies like bar code readers, GPS, and LBS. Furthermore, these mobile marketing campaigns and service are better off managed through customized platforms that will also keep track of user information, campaign effectiveness, click thru rates... things that most companies would want to get their hands on...

  7. Forbes had something to say today about Twitter, that I found pretty much to the point.

[speaking about Twitter] "At first glance this might all seem like ceaseless nitwittery, millions of meaningless megabytes zipping through fiber-optic lines and swarming in the air around us, for no good reason simply because we can. Unfortunately, it kind of looks like that on second glance, too."
